Monday Night Raw saw the Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes program officially kick-off, with an electrifying promo between the latter and Paul Heyman. Such was the success of this verbal exchange that most fans are now looking forward to The American Nightmare dethroning The Tribal Chief at WrestleMania 39, even if it means the white-hot Sami Zayn is not involved in a world title match at the event.
As per Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer, WWE officials were “well aware” of the popularity of the angle between Reigns and Zayn and knew it was “imperative” something big be done to hand the spotlight on the upcoming Mania main event between Reigns and Rhodes.

With their scintillating verbal duel, Heyman and Rhodes did just that, and the build for the WrestleMania 39 main event has fans legitimately eager. This also means Zayn and Kevin Owens can chase after The Usos and their tag titles at the Showcase of the Immortals without significant fan backlash upon WWE. Winners all around then!
