The Royal Rumble was quite a successful affair for WWE, and its aftermath started last night on Raw. The episode saw two top matches being set for WWE WrestleMania 39 in Los Angeles.
At the top of Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, Cody Rhodes walked out to a thunderous ovation from fans before heading to the ring and talking about winning the men’s Royal Rumble on Saturday. He added that his path now leads to the Undisputed Universal Championship held by Roman Reigns.

A few segments later, the equally over Rhea Ripley came out to talk about her win in the women’s Royal Rumble and to reveal who she would challenge. Quite expectedly, the Judgement Day member declared that she would battle Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
Ripley said that Flair had put her in her place a few years ago before adding that “the funny thing about Charlotte” is that she’s always in the title picture. The former NXT UK Women’s Champion noted that Flair seems to get better every year, but she had plans on disrupting the “status quo” at Mania.
With the road to WrestleMania truly up and running, fans can expect more matches from the card to become clear over the next few weeks.
