John Cena made his emphatic return to WWE on the last SmackDown episode of 2022 as he teamed up with Kevin Owens to defeat Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn in the main event. He is also expected to be a part of WrestleMania 39 this year.

According to the latest reports, Cena is set to face Austin Theory at the grandest stage of them all. Dave Meltzer has reported on the Wrestling Observer Radio that Logan Paul wanted to face the 16-time world champion at WrestleMania 39 but the plan did not materialize.

“Logan Paul had asked to be against Cena at WrestleMania, but they never said that. There was definitely talk of Cena vs Logan Paul in November/December in that range.”

Grayson Waller on John Cena

WWE NXT superstar Grayson Waller has made a name for himself as one of the top heels on the current roster. Waller has portrayed mad character on-screen who leaves no stone unturned in order to win a match. He recently won the Iron Survivor Challenge at NXT Deadline and became the number-one contender for Bron Breakker’s NXT gold.

Though not a babyface, Grayson Waller opined that he should be compared with the likes of John Cena in a recent interview with Steve Fall on The Ten Count.

“I should be compared to those guys. It’s not a stress at all,” he said. “I know for some people — I see people here freaking out because they are getting put in these positions, and they’re getting compared to people, and they don’t know what to do. I already know I’m there. I’ve known that for a long time, and I’m finally getting to show that,” Waller said.

He was also crystal clear about the fact that he does not like fans.

“I don’t need some 14-year-old kid to send me a letter going, ‘Grayson Waller, you’re so good.’ I know I’m good, lad. I don’t need to read this piece of paper. That goes straight into the trash. I don’t even read that stuff anymore; it means absolutely nothing to me.”
