WWE RAW: 5 potential finishes for Big E and Kevin Owens steel cage match
WWE Champion Big E will face Kevin Owens in a Steel Cage on WWE RAW

WWE Champion Big E will finally get his hands on Kevin Owens at WWE RAW this week. Not only will the WWE Champion get Owens one-on-one, but he will also get to face him inside a steel cage. The Championship will not be on the line, but it will be a chance for Big E to set the record straight.

The New Day member has been struggling to get the upper hand on the Canadian superstar after several antics he has pulled. For Big E, it is time for redemption to show Kevin Owens exactly what he is all about.

At the Day 1 pay-per-view on January 1, 2022, E will defend the WWE Championship against Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins. The cage is in place for this week’s match at RAW and will indeed not allow The Visionary to interfere, just like he has been doing the last few weeks.

IT’S ON!

At #WWEDay1, @WWEBigE will finally defend the #WWEChampionship against @WWERollins … AND @FightOwensFight in a Triple Threat Match.

Kevin Owens defeated Big E on the November 29, 2021 episode of RAW to earn his way into the WWE Title match, since Rollins attacked Owens, earning him a DQ win.

Let’s look at five potential finishes for Big E and Kevin Owens steel cage match, starting with, Seth Rollins was getting involved in the match.

#5 Seth Rollins interferes in the steel cage match on WWE RAW

When Seth Rollins attacked Kevin Owens during his match with Big E, he thought he was doing the right thing after KO had taken him out earlier. It soon dawned on him that KO was now inserted into the WWE Championship match at Day 1 as per the stipulation, ultimately making it a Triple Threat match.

There is certainly nothing stopping The Messiah from scaling the steel cage and entering the ring. If he did, he’d have to make a decision. Does he attack Kevin Owens to try and take him out of their Title match on January 1, or does he go for both men and send a statement of intent?

Either way, if Rollins does get involved, both men better watch out.

#4 WWE Champion Big E claims a dominant victory on RAW

Its time to think big with Big E!!! #Raw #WWERaw https://t.co/Ap4aJwcouj

It’s Big E’s world, and we’re just all living in it. The WWE Champion is one of the most charismatic and exciting titleholders in recent memory. So far, WWE has done a decent job in giving the Champion plenty of credibility heading into 2022.

It would do the New Day member no harm if he scored a big victory over Kevin Owens inside the steel cage. It would certainly put the WWE Universe on notice once again that Big E is here to stay at the top of the mountain.

#3 Austin Theory costs Big E on WWE RAW

Vince McMahon tells Austin Theory if he ever steals from him again he will kill him.

Theory is also stuck watching the rest of the show with Vince lmao

It has been quite a few weeks for Austin Theory. He managed to find his way onto Team RAW at the Survivor Series pay-per-view, and is currently involved in an angle with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon.

Last week, after the Cleopatra egg saga came to a conclusion, Mr. McMahon insisted Theory watch RAW with him. The Chairman continuously warned Theory to expect the unexpected. In their last segment, he slapped Theory to show that the young superstar had learned nothing.

Maybe that slap has ignited a fire inside Theory and he takes matters into his own hands. Expecting the unexpected, Austin could interfere in the steel cage match and cost WWE Champion Big E in the match. It would be a brave move and after all, it would impress the Chairman.

#2 Kevin Owens claims a shock win over the WWE Champion on RAW

Could he? Could Kevin Owens pull off an upset and defeat the WWE Champion? It is certainly a possibility, after all, that aside from his antics, Kevin Owens is one of the best to do it on the planet.

Imagine the celebrations and the questions that would come out of the episode if KO pulled off the win. The Title is not on the line, of course, but it would build some much-needed momentum for the challenger heading into the Day 1 pay-per-view.

#1 Kevin Owens crashes-and-burns to nearly close WWE tenure

“Kevin Owens contract ends in January 2022.

It is no secret in the pro-wrestling world that Kevin Owens’ WWE contract will expire very soon. On RAW, he alluded to the WWE Universe to say, “What matters is every single time I’m on RAW, you can believe I will do everything I can to give the WWE Universe something to remember.”

Could the daredevil pull off one final stunt, which would ultimately be the downfall that costs him the steel cage match? He’s jumped off the Hell in a Cell structure and even the WrestleMania sign.

Owens would have no problem recreating a memorable moment as one of his final hurrahs on the red brand with the festive period approaching.

The stunt could see him flying off the top of the cage to take out Big E but ultimately miss, allowing the WWE Champion to take advantage. Even after the match, following a brawl, KO could perform a jump from the top of the cage through the announce table below. The steel cage match opens up a lot of options.
