If you were not listening closely to the commentary teams on Raw last night you may have missed the comments.
On Raw Seth Rollins challenged Kevin Owens with the stipulation being that if Rollins victorious, he would get to do the segment with Stone Cold Steve Austin at WrestleMania.
Rollins lost the match but Corey Graves dropped some hints about Cody Rhodes coming in. In the closing minute of the show, Graves said that Rollins’ WrestleMania hopes have been “dashed” and “his dream has become a nightmare.”
Graves would not have said that without the blessing of Vince McMahon and McMahon would not allow those hints to be dropped if Rhodes is not coming in.
Dave Meltzer reported earlier today that as of Friday, Rhodes vs. Rollins is listed internally for WrestleMania.
We are still of the opinion that this is now not a “Big Deal” The time to get Cody in was weeks ago. The longer this has dragged out has killed of any hype that it could have had. There are now only 2 episodes of Raw left to make any sort of story, and most fans dont get invested in a 2 week story.
