The more the days pass, and the closer we get to WrestleMania 39, the more it seems certain that The Rock will return to WWE one final time for his mega-anticipated clash with Roman Reigns.
So far, The Great One hasn’t returned to the company, but Ringside News had that both parties were discussing something for the Royal Rumble, although other options are also available.
Regarding rumors of The Rock's WWE return:
“There are ideas for Rock in Rumble, ideas for Rock not in Rumble, ideas for Rock to show up elsewhere besides the Rumble."
Right now, "nothing is etched in stone until a deal is reached." pic.twitter.com/fycwNgTjgJ

The outlet recently reached out to WWE to confirm The Rock’s current Royal Rumble status, and it seems both parties are still calculating all permutations and combinations.
The Royal Rumble, perhaps the biggest event of the year outside Mania itself, will emanate from the Alamodome on January 28, but it isn’t set in stone that the Hollywood megastar will return only at that event.
Ringside News was told by a tenured WWE member that “there are ideas for Rock in Rumble, ideas for Rock not in Rumble, ideas for Rock to show up elsewhere besides the Rumble.” Presently, “nothing is etched in stone until a deal is reached.”
Fans are already salivating at the prospect of a Head of the Table between the Brahma Bull and the Tribal Chief, and seeing the former one last time in the ring before his eventual permanent retirement and surefire Hall of Fame induction would make them very happy.
