William Regal had a stint of over 20 years with the WWE in his first spell. He went to AEW after the spell but recently parted ways with the promotion in 2022. He has been instrumental in the development of WWE NXT and also was WWE RAW for a period of time during his WWE career.
Following his father’s footsteps in wrestling, Regal’s son Bailey Matthews, wrestling as Charlie Dempsey in NXT, is a future could be a future star in WWE. During the latest episode of his Cafe de Rene podcast, Rene Dupree explained that Dempsey could become a top superstar in the STamford-based promotion.
“What does Regal’s son look like? Is he tall good-looking kid? Yeah, that’s gonna be the top English spot. (…) If there’s gonna be a top English worker given a top spot it will be Regal’s kid in my opinion. [Especially with Regal being back now?] Especially being Regal’s kid,” he said.
