Vince Russo has chimed in on what he thinks should happen at WrestleMania 39, with Roman Reigns will be putting his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on the line but his opponent has not been yet decided. There have been reports suggesting that the Rock will be the one to face Roman Reigns but the plans have not been made final due to doubts over the Brahma Bull’s availability.
However, former WWE Head Writer Vince Russo has an alternative in mind if the Rock fails to make it to WrestleMania due to his busy schedule. Recently speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Writing With Vince Russo with Dr. Chris Featherstone, the veteran highlighted that he would have replaced the Rock with three people instead of one.
“I’m telling you, if I find out that Rock can’t do it for whatever reason, the thing I would book is, because it’s not Cody Rhodes for WrestleMania,” Russo said. “Not one single casual fan is going to care about that, bro. What I’m doing at that point is I’m doing a four corner, and I’m doing Reigns, Austin, John Cena, and Brock Lesnar.”
Further in the podcast, Vince Russo explained how he would have booked the match. He stated that he would have taken the title from the Tribal Chief, without pinning him.
“I would have Reigns lose the title without beating him, bro. Let somebody else take the pin. Reigns loses the title. He was still never beat. Maybe you go back to Brock for a glass of water, I don’t know, but it would need to be something like that. You’re not gonna replace The Rock with one person.”
