Just when you thought it was over for Vince McMahon, he faces new sexual assault allegations. Rita Chatterton has filed a lawsuit asking for over 11 million dollars, as reported in the Wall Street Journal.
The timing is interesting as the Vince documentary is expected to air tonight. This also comes on the heels of another recent report that Vince was planning a major comeback to WWE. We can assume that this might put a pin in that idea.
McMahon stepped down last August, just before SummerSlam, announcing his retirement. He’s said to have regretted the decision.
Vince also faces a recurrence of a largely unknown 2011 charge against him from a tanning salon, which was also a sexual assault charge.
Rita Chatterton reported that Vince McMahon raped her in 1986. This allegation first came to light in the steroid scandal of the early 90s. It went away but never really stayed away.
