Brian Cage has not had the best of times in AEW, and his future has been speculated a lot, as a result. Recently, however, his status in the company has been on the rise, and he played a central part in the feud between Bryan Danielson and MJF on Wednesday night’s Dynamite.

However, that might not be enough to keep the talented heavyweight happy.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select has reported that Cage’s AEW contract will expire soon, and there is no indication of whether he will ink a new deal.
Sapp said:
“There have been feelers within WWE that have gauged the company’s interest in bringing Cage in, we’re told. Though we aren’t sure if there’s particular interest on either side.”

Brian Cage is also a member of the Ring of Honor six-man tag team champions, The Embassy.
With interest from WWE in The Machine, whose athleticism belies someone of his size, it will be a task for Tony Khan to keep him with the company unless he can find a deal-breaking solution.
