Thunder Rosa has been stripped of the AEW women’s championship. Her reign has officially come to an end. Jamie Hayter is now the official AEW Women’s Champion. Further, Toni Storm’s reign has been declared official as well. Still no word on when Thunder Rosa would be coming back.

Thunder Rosa suffered an injury in the lead-up to AEW’s All Out. This led to an Interim Title situation on the heels of the CM Punk Interim title reign. Toni Storm one a fatal four-way match against Britt Baker, Jamie Hayter, and Hikaru Shida to determine the AEW women’s interim championship.

Toni Storm lost her title to Jamie Hayter at AEW Full Gear. There had been thoughts of Thunder Rosa returning to AEW to face Toni Storm, but that hasn’t happened and may not happen.

Rosa tweeted, “Thank you #ThunderArmy for all the support and @aew for being there for me. Dream-like moments happened in this run, and this is not how I wanted to lose the championship, but you deserve a present champion; on to the next chapter.”

We hate to see the reign end this way, but at some point, it became time to move on.
