CM Punk is one of the most enigmatic figures in professional wrestling, and his return to the ring has been a topic of discussion among fans and industry insiders alike for years. Since his acrimonious departure from WWE in 2014,

For sure Punks returning to wrestling has been similar to his departure as we have well documented the issues around the All Out backstage brawl.

As we reported last week, Punk had been in talks with AEW President Tony Khan about a potential return to the ring. In fact, the two sides were said to have agreed in principle on a deal before Punk’s recent Instagram post in which he criticized Jon Moxley and Chris Jericho. That post seemingly derailed negotiations, but it hasn’t stopped Punk from expressing his desire to return to AEW.

Fresh news dropped today from Fightful Select that reported that Punk has been in communication with AEW officials and has proposed several scenarios in which he could return to the promotion. He has also expressed a willingness to work with AEW World Champion Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks, two of the company’s biggest stars.

The idea of CM Punk working with Omega and The Young Bucks is an exciting one for wrestling fans, but it remains to be seen if it will come to fruition. Omega and The Young Bucks were reportedly not interested in working with Punk a few months ago, but that could have changed.

Of course, Punk’s potential return to AEW is just one piece of the puzzle. AEW has been making waves in the wrestling world since its inception, and the company is poised to become a major player in the industry in the years to come. With a roster that includes the likes of Omega, The Young Bucks, and Chris Jericho, among others, AEW has positioned itself as a viable alternative to WWE.
