Teddy Long spoke on the podcast “One on One” about Ronda Rousey today. He said she doesn’t take it seriously, and doesn’t care about the business. Strong words from Teddy.

Here’s what Teddy Long said, “I don’t think she cares anything about our business. I don’t think she takes professional wrestling seriously. I think with her, it’s all about Ronda Rousey. She’s one of the people who’ll go into the business for themselves. So like I said, great person, but this business is different. You’ve got to take it real seriously.”

Ronda Rousey signed a full-time WWE contract in 2018, after several sporadic appearances. She made her presence felt that the first women’s Royal Rumble match. Won by Asuka, Rousey proceeded to allegedly steal the spotlight.

Ronda Rousey won multiple titles. Her first came at SummerSlam 2018, ending Alexa Bliss’s title run. She held that particular championship until WrestleMania 35, where she lost the title to Becky Lynch in a Triple Threat match. Ronda disappeared soon after.

She made her return at the Royal Rumble this year and won the event. Ronda challenged Charlotte for the WWE SmackDown Women’s title and lost, but later won it at WrestleMania Backlash. Ronda would lose the title via Money in the Bank cash in, to Liv Morgan, but recapture it a few months later. She most recently lost her title to Charlotte Flair.

In this recent run, Ronda Rousey has been accused of selling poorly to Charlotte Flair and several other stars. Fans raked her across the coals for a severe botch at Survivor Series. Fans tweeted that WWE should fire Ronda. All of this might contribute to Teddy Long’s belief.

Do you agree with him? Does Ronda Rousey not care about wrestling?
