Solo Sikoa in a surprise move, was forced to vacate his North American Heavyweight Championship. He only won the title last week on NXT and defended it on SmackDown. Shawn Michaels explained that Solo wasn’t on the fan vote to decide Solo Sikoa’s title challenger.
Carmelo Hayes asked for the title back, but HBK said no. Instead, there will be a ladder match to determine the new challenger. Carmelo Hayes and four other opponents will compete in a ladder match to crown the new North American Champion.
The entire series of events is bewildering to some fans. Some might say they had him win the title so the Bloodline could be loaded with gold. Whatever the case, Shawn Michaels wished him well on his WWE Main Roster run.
