WWE legend Shawn Michaels is one of the hugely popular wrestlers to have graced the WWE ring. In addition, his famous finisher, Sweet Chin Music, was also incredible for the fans to watch. The move was a superkick that Michael used to deliver before going for the final cover.
Currently, the superkick is also used by other stars in the promotion including the Usos. Speaking with Culture State, WWE’s Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative, Shawn Michaels, spoke about the superkick becoming famous after he started using it.
“It’s humbling. This business has been so good to me and so, this is my way of being able to give back. I take it as a compliment. I remember when I broke in the wrestling business, you know, a lot of the old-timers, you know, said, ‘Imitation is, you know, the sincerest form of flattery.’ That is certainly the way that I take it … I appreciate the fact that something that I did has had an appeal and a positive effect on this business.”
