While Becky Lynch is currently one of the most popular women in WWE, Sasha Banks lost her spot after a major controversy in 2022. Banks walked out of a Monday Night RAW episode last year with her tag team partner Naomi which led to WWE suspending the two superstars.

However, if their in-ring achievements in WWE are considered. there are not many differences between the two athletes. Recently speaking on  Busted Open, WWE legend Bully Ray explained that Sasha Banks was better than Becky Lynch as a wrestler.

“Neither do I,” Bully Ray said, agreeing that he does not put Lynch on Banks’ level. “And this is what makes me laugh whenever I hear people on social media say, ‘Oh, Bully doesn’t like Sasha.’ Are you people out of your freaking mind? In my eyes, Sasha was only behind Charlotte, and considerably better than Becky in the ring.”

Sasha Banks makes NJPW debut

Sasha Banks, (MERCEDES MONÉ)  finally a free agent, created a big splash by making her much-anticipated debut at NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom 17 earlier today. She came out to rapturous applause and laid out IWGP Women’s Champion KAIRI before challenging her to a match next month in San Jose.

Additionally, as per reports, Bayley and Naomi were two notable names who appeared at New Japan Pro Wrestling’s biggest show of the year to watch Banks make her pro wrestling comeback.

After KAIRI defeated Tam Nakano to retain her IWGP Women’s Championship, Banks came out under the name Mercedes Mone to congratulate KAIRI and offer a handshake. However, it was a trap, as the former WWE star laid her out and then said that she is here in New Japan and Stardom to make more history.

Mone called herself the CEO of the women’s division and promised to take the title from KAIRI at NJPW Battle in the Valley, which will emanate from San Jose on February 18.
