Sasha Banks arrived in Japan

It could finally be happening for all Sasha Banks fans who’ve been waiting months for her return to in-ring action as we have learned today she has arrived in Japan. As per Pwinsider, Mercedes Varnado, aka Sasha Banks, is reportedly in Japan to prepare for the January 4 New Japan Pro Wrestling pay-per-view event, Wrestle Kingdom 17.

Banks apparently has numerous dates stacked up with NJPW. It was also reported that company chairman Takaaki Kidani decided to bring in “The Legit Boss” because he wanted a big star with the WWE brand value to appear on his promotion’s premier show and was ready to pay whatever it took to make it happen.

It was also recently reported on multiple sites that Banks had negotiated her WWE release months ago but was to wait until 2023 for the non-compete clause to expire. With that date almost here, it’s only a matter of time before she returns to the ring to do what she does best.
