Former WWE Women’s Champion Sasha Banks hasn’t been seen on WWE TV since she and her tag team partner Naomi walked out during the May 16th 2022 episode of Monday Night RAW and were suspended indefinitely a few days later and now we learn she is going to NJPW in January.

PWInsider reported a few days back that Sasha is going to (NJPW) New Japan Pro Wrestling. She is expected to appear at next month’s NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17 pay-per-view.

While nothing is known as of this writing about what Sasha is going to do in Japan, she teased the idea of wrestling former WWE star Kairi Sane in STARDOM, which is also operated by NJPW owners.

In an update, the Wrestling Observer is reporting that Sasha is done with WWE for now:

“She’s not going back to WWE. Maybe they’ll just say ‘She’s more trouble than she’s worth. She’s asking for so much money.’ Which is, of course, the attitude a month ago of ‘Oh my god, how can she ask for so money”

January 4th Tokyo Dome and other dates, and Mercedes Vernado or whatever name she will go with, but as of right now – she’s done with WWE. It can change at any moment, but that’s the situation right now.”
