Mandy Rose was shockingly released from WWE a day after dropping her NXT women’s championship to Roxanne Perez on the December 13 edition of the black and gold show. This ended the Golden Goddess’ 400+ day reign as the top dog in the women’s division, and the fallout of her exit continues to make news.
Amidst all the questions, support for Rose, and criticism aimed at WWE, Saraya has come out to show her support for her former stablemate on social media:
Love you sister @WWE_MandyRose
— SARAYA (@Saraya) December 14, 2022
For those unaware, Saraya, as Paige, was the leader of the Absolution stable in WWE from 2017 to 2018 alongside Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville. They had a short run as a faction as Paige soon got injured and had to retire from pro wrestling, before making a shock return earlier this year in AEW.
Meanwhile, WWE continues to get flak for releasing Rose, with the reason being touted that she was posting increasingly explicit content on her FanTime paysite, which went against company policies. It is apparently more to do with what Mandy was selling rather than that Mandy was selling it, but fans continue to question the promotion and call for Rose’s recall, with a section also hoping she reunites with Saraya in AEW.
