Samoa Joe returned to Ring of Honor at Supercard of Honor In April. This was in addition to his debut in All Elite Wrestling.
Joe is the reigning AEW TNT and ROH World Television Champion. At Saturday’s ROH Final Battle 2022 pay-per-view event, he bested Juice Robinson to retain the Television Title.
Before the event, Samoa Joe spoke with Steven Muehlhausen of DAZN about his run in AEW so far. Joe feels it is just getting started. He said,
“Just getting started [is how I would characterize my run in AEW so far]. I mean, really I came in, initially I was gone for three months filming and now I’m back and we’re just getting started. Really, when you think about my run and how long I’ve actually been in AEW as far as days on the job, we’re still very much in the beginning of this so I’m excited to see where it goes.”
Samoa Joe says Cody can come back and face him
While speaking during the ROH Final Battle media scrum, Samoa Joe decided to call out Cody Rhodes to come back and challenge him for the TNT Title.
Oh anybody can get it. Like let’s be real clear about this, like if you think you’re the guy who’s going to come take this from me, show up. I’ll whoop your ass. It don’t matter if it’s Miro, Cody can come back. Bring anybody.
Joe is currently the TNT Champion as well as the ROH Television Champion. We wonder whether Cody Rhodes will answer Joe’s callout or not. By the looks of it, it is unlikely he will do so.
