Sabu, a legendary ECW wrestler, was reportedly hospitalized after experiencing a medical emergency during the Squared Circle Expo in Indianapolis, Indiana. A statement released by the expo confirmed that Sabu had suffered a “serious medical emergency.”

“ATTN: Due to having a serious medical emergency while on the show floor, Sabu will not be appearing for the remainder of the Expo. He is currently in route to a local medical facility.

All pro photo op for the ECW pillars pro op and Sabu/RVD pro op will be refunded CASH IN HAND at the pro photo op at their scheduled times.

Our thoughts are with Sabu and all of his ECW colleagues at this time as we await for some hopefully positive news on his status.Thank you for understanding”

 

The man himself has since tweeted, “Hello everyone I am doing better and thank you for your well wishes ”

 

Sabu, whose real name is Terry Michael Brunk, is a retired professional wrestler from America. He was born on December 12, 1964, in Detroit, Michigan.

Sabu began his wrestling career in the late 1980s and became famous for his daredevil and high-flying wrestling style. He was known for performing dangerous stunts and moves, including diving off ropes and crashing through tables. Sabu competed in various wrestling promotions during his career, including Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), World Championship Wrestling (WCW), Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), and various independent promotions.

Sabu is perhaps best known for his time in ECW, where he became a prominent member of the roster and was involved in some of the promotion’s most iconic matches and storylines. He was a two-time ECW World Heavyweight Champion and is considered to be one of the most influential wrestlers of the “hardcore” wrestling style.

Throughout his career, Sabu also had several stints in Japan, where he competed in various promotions and became a respected name in the country’s wrestling scene. He retired from professional wrestling in 2019 but has made occasional appearances since then.

Sabu’s wrestling style and high-risk maneuvers have inspired many current wrestlers, and he is considered to be a pioneer of the extreme wrestling genre. Despite his high-flying and dangerous style, Sabu is also known for his toughness and resilience, as he has suffered numerous injuries throughout his career but has continued to wrestle through them.
