Roxanne Perez is the new NXT women’s champion. Formally known as Rok-C, the new champion was the first Ring of Honor women’s champion. In fact, she was Ring of Honor women’s champion at the start of this year. She dropped her title to Deonna Purrazzo, during a time when Ring of Honor was technically dead. She quickly joined WWE and went to NXT, where she become a fast riser.
Roxanne Perez won the right to face the champion at NXT Deadline. She was the winner of the women’s Iron Survivor match. This victory won her the right to face Mandy Rose.
The now-former champion, held the title for 413 days. This run in NXT, is widely considered the very resurrection of Mandy Rose’s WWE career. She proved that she could be a top star within the company and now she might be able to write her ticket on WWE’s main roster.
But for now, we look forward to what is only the start of what will likely be an amazing career. The NXT women’s title & The ROH women’s title, were not the only championship held by Roxanne Perez. She was also the NXT women’s tag champion with Cora Jade. A feud between the two of them seems likely to spearhead 2023.
Congratulations Roxanne Perez!
