• RONDA ROUSEY TO BE INVOLVED IN AN INTERESTING TITLE MATCH AT WRESTLEMANIA 39
WWE has changed WrestleMania 39 plans for Ronda Rousey multiple times now.
At one point, she was scheduled to defend the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Rhea Ripley, but that has been scrapped.
Then she was scheduled to face Becky Lynch in their long-awaited singles match, but that got nixed as well.
Now, WWE is planning to have Rousey go after the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
According to the Wrestling Observer, WWE is planning to have Dakota Kai & IYO SKY of Bayley’s Damage CTRL stable defend their Women’s Tag Team Titles against Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler at WrestleMania 39.
Meltzer said that the match is a “lock” stating –
This is among the “locked in matches at this point” for Mania. It’s still unclear exactly when Rousey will return to television.
Jim Cornette wishes Ronda Rousey would just leave
Jim Cornette, never shy about opinions unloaded one that might upset Ronda Rousey fans. He frankly hopes that she goes away. That the experiment ends with her losing to Charlotte Flair.
This is what Jim Cornette said, “If Ronda Rousey did not have the name and reputation that she had from the MMA world or UFC, she wouldn’t be on television. There Charlotte’s a star and then there’s Ronda.”
“Hopefully, is this the end of the Rousey experiment? Ronda Rousey wanted to be a wrestler until she got a little taste of it. She wasn’t even a full-time wrestler. The first run, okay. Then she goes to have kids and raise goats. And I’m not even kidding folks, look it up.”
Jim Cornette ended his statement by talking about how she showed very little interest in wrestling and wanted to stay home with her child instead. I can’t fault a woman for wanting to stay at home with her child. As a father myself, I understand the need to be with your children. However, one can also point out that Becky Lynch still is dedicated to wrestling, while enjoying her time as a mother.
