Sara Lee, the WWE Tough Enough champion, unfortunately, died in October 2022. She left behind her spouse, Wesley Blake, and three children. Fans are now understanding what might have transpired a little better.

An update on Sara Lee’s condition and potential factors that led to her untimely death at the age of 30 was published on PEOPLE.com. Sadly, it appears that alcohol may have had a role in the circumstance.

According to information provided to People by a “insider,” Sara Lee was reported to have been drinking significantly on the night of her death. Her husband eventually discovered her, but it was too late.

The insider says Lee “was heavily drinking [the night she died]” and was later found by her husband Cory James Weston (who goes by the ring name Westin Blake).

“He [Westin] had just come back from working in Orlando. He took the kids somewhere and came back and found her. It was sudden.” The source adds, “It wasn’t intentional and it was accidental.”  Lee was “never that person you would think would do this,” according to the insider. “There were never any signs.”

Who was Sara Lee?

Sara Lee is a former professional wrestler who won the sixth season of WWE Tough Enough, a reality competition television series produced by WWE in 2015.

Sara Lee was born on December 29, 1992, in Hope Mills, North Carolina. Prior to appearing on WWE Tough Enough, she worked as a model and a full-time mother.

During her time on WWE Tough Enough, Sara Lee impressed the judges and fans with her athleticism, determination, and positive attitude. She won the competition on August 25, 2015, and was awarded a one-year, $250,000 contract with WWE.

After winning Tough Enough, Sara Lee began training at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, and made her in-ring debut in September 2015 at a non-televised NXT live event. However, her career in WWE was short-lived, and she was released from her contract in April 2016.

Since her departure from WWE, Sara Lee has largely stayed out of the public eye. She has occasionally appeared at independent wrestling events and has continued to work as a model.
