NXT 2.0 Results: Huge interference in main event; Mandy Rose pinned
Grimes challenged Hudson to a match at WarGames while Io Shirai added a strong competitor to her team

Grayson Waller kicked off NXT 2.0 and compared himself to The Rock and John Cena. He added that he was better than Tommaso Ciampa, the NXT champion, before heading into the match.


Tommaso Ciampa vs. Grayson Waller on NXT 2.0

Ciampa put Waller in the corner early on and went for knees to the head. Waller hit two neck breakers on the Champ before using the ropes to lock in a hold.

Ciampa came out of the corner with a big boot before taking a Pop-up Spear. Waller went for the People’s Elbow but Ciampa dodged it and hit some clotheslines before Grayson was sent outside and over the announcer’s desk.

Back after a break on NXT 2.0, Ciampa got a DDT, and Waller got the Blue Thunder Bomb before taking the Air Raid Crash from The Blackheart. Waller got a near fall with a top rope elbow before taking the Willow’s Bell and the Fairytale Ending, letting Ciampa pick up the win.

Backstage, LA Knight said that Waller was a loser, and Joe Gacy said that these kinds of thoughts were harmful. After some banter, Knight challenged Gacy to a match on NXT 2.0


Backstage on NXT 2.0, Dakota Kai joined Toxic Attraction before they passed by the wreckage caused by Kay Lee Ray.


Cameron Grimes was out on NXT 2.0 and after last week’s haircut, he said that his beard and hair were reminders of his early days where he struggled for years before making it big in WWE.

“If I scratched and I clawed, it didn’t matter how many nights I slept on a concrete floor… I showed all those people that @CGrimesWWE holds it down!”

Duke Hudson took it away from him and he was not happy about it. Hudson came on the Titantron and mocked Grimes some more before turning down his challenge for a match.

Grimes fired back and challenged him to a Hair vs. Hair match at NXT WarGames. Hudson accepted the challenge and showed us that he saved Grimes’ hair in a plastic bag.

Indi Hartwell & Persia Pirotta vs. Kayden Carter & Kacy Catanzaro on NXT 2.0

Hartwell took a beating in the ring on NXT 2.0 from Kacy and Kayden before Pirotta tagged in and dropped Catanzaro in the corner. Indi came back in and Kayden broke up the count before Catanzaro made the tag.

Indi tagged in but was not focused on the match as Catanzaro nearly rolled her up while Hartwell was staring at her wedding ring. Kayden and Kacy hit a big top rope finisher and picked up the win.

Backstage on NXT 2.0, Andre Chase was using Grimes as an example to teach his students to not make decisions while angry before we headed for the next match.


Santos Escobar vs. Malik Blade on NXT 2.0

Escobar had the early advantage but took a huge dropkick. He bounced back and took Blade to the corner. Malik got a near fall before Escobar sent him flying with an exploder suplex.

Santos landed the double knees in the corner before hitting the Phantom Driver for the win.

After the match on NXT 2.0, Legado Del Fantasma were celebrating Escobar’s return before Kyle O’Reilly and Von Wagner came out and interrupted them.

The two teams argued about who will get the Tag Team Title shot before Imperium showed up and called them all inferior.

Imperium said that whoever wins the match between both teams will face them for the Titles at NXT WarGames.


Backstage, Cora Jade reminded Raquel Gonzalez and Io Shirai that they still needed a fourth member for the WarGames match with Toxic Attraction and Dakota Kai.


Cora Jade vs. Mandy Rose on NXT 2.0

Jade got some good moves in early on and got a near fall with a rollup. Mandy took control of the match before locking in a submission move in the ring.

Jade broke free and tried for an inside cradle but Mandy kicked out. Rose took the knees in the corner for another near fall before Kay Lee Ray came out and attacked the furniture at ringside with a baseball bat.

Cora Jade got the pin off the distraction and picked up the win on NXT 2.0!

Melo and Trick were in a backstage promo on NXT 2.0, and Hayes said that Ciampa might have been on the brand for five years, but he caught up to the NXT Champ in five months.

Backstage, Shirai, Gonzalez, and Jade were wondering whether to ask KLR to join them, and she agreed to it before they even asked the question.


Joe Gacy was out for his match with LA Knight, and Grayson Waller attacked him as they brawled their way out of the arena. Gacy was about to start talking, but Diamond Mine interrupted his monologue and asked Gacy to get out of ‘their’ ring.

Gacy took shots at Roderick Strong and said that the Cruiserweight Title was offensive. Strong challenged Gacy to a Title match at WarGames, and Joe accepted it. Bivens asked the Creed Brothers to toss Gacy out of the ring, but Harland showed up, and Diamond Mine retreated.


MSK were still travelling and were caught by the police for driving too slow but then let them go.

Ivy Nile vs. Yulisa Leon on NXT 2.0

Nile took her opponent down early on and showboat a bit before locking in an armbar. Ivy hit a huge clothesline before doing crunches while having Leon in a submission move on NXT 2.0.

Leon broke out of the hold and sent Nile in the corner before Ivy locked in a vicious hold for the submission victory on NXT 2.0.

Grizzled Young Veterans vs. Briggs & Jensen on NXT 2.0

Briggs and Jensen started off strong before Gibson got control in the ring with some big moves. LA Knight and Grayson Waller were still brawling backstage while tags were in made in the ring and Briggs came in to clear the ring but Drake dodged the big finisher.

Drake clutched his knees and the ref called Briggs off before Gibson attacked him from behind. Briggs caught Drake by the leg and he was still standing, proving that the injury was fake. Briggs and Jensen hit their combined finisher to pick up the win.

Gargano hit a big dropkick on the champ early on after Dunne was tossed out of the ring. Dunne returned and after Melo was sent outside, took the fight to Gargano.

Carmelo Hayes vs. Pete Dunne vs. Johnny Gargano – North American Championship match on NXT 2.0

Dunne locked in single leg crabs on both opponents before Trick pulled Melo out of the ring to save the champ on NXT 2.0. Gargano used Dunne to hit Melo before hitting dives on both opponents.

Back after a break, Melo was hit with a slingshot spear before getting a near fall on Dunne off a DDT. Hayes was able to hit the codebreaker on Dunne and dropped him on top of Gargano before getting the near fall.

Gargano and Melo took each other out before Gargano dumped him in the corner. He wiped out Williams with a kick from the apron. Dunne was about to pick up the win on Gargano but Tony D’Angelo came in and dragged him out of the ring.

Melo hit the top rope leg drop on Gargano and picked up the win on NXT 2.0.

Waller and Knight brawled their way out to the ring and attacked Tony before everyone attacked Gargano and Melo nearly shattered his hand like he did to Dexter last week.

Ciampa came out to make the save and hit everyone with steel chairs, driving Melo, Trick, Tony and Waller outside. Bron Breakker came out and joined D’Angelo, Waller and Melo as Ciampa, Gargano, Dunne and Knight were in the ring.

Breakker yelled “WarGames” before taking the fight to the veterans alongside the young stars.

The WarGames siren started to ring around the arena as the show went off the air.

We got an action-packed triple threat title match main event while NXT 2.0 kicked off the NXT Championship match. Io Shirai’s team to face Toxic Attraction and Dakota Kai was decided tonight while the men’s WarGames match was also confirmed on NXT 2.0.
