Former WWE superstar Naomi has been making waves recently after reports surfaced that NJPW & STARDOM’s parent company,
Bushiroad, passed on the opportunity to sign her due to financial concerns. However, the wrestler herself has refuted these claims and has now announced her debut in IMPACT Wrestling at this weekend’s TV tapings in Cicero, Illinois.
Naomi, whose real name is Trinity Fatu, left WWE in 2022 and fans have been eagerly awaiting her return to the ring ever since. Her former tag team partner, Sasha Banks, recently joined NJPW under the name Mercedes Mone, but it seems that Naomi won’t be following suit.
According to the Wrestling Observer, Bushiroad passed on the chance to sign Naomi due to the financial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, Naomi has taken to Instagram to dispute these claims, stating that they are not true.
Despite this setback, it seems that Naomi’s wrestling career is far from over. Fans can now look forward to seeing her in action at the upcoming IMPACT Wrestling TV tapings, where she is set to make her debut.
