Recently, absent AEW star Miro shared a picture of himself with his wife, former WWE star Lana, on Twitter.

Miro, who was formerly known as Rusev, spent a lot of time in the WWE. Although he gained a devoted following at the Stamford-based promotion, he was let go in 2020 as a result of budget cuts brought on by the pandemic.

When joining Tony Khan’s organization, Miro was expected to be a prominent star, but his significance quickly declined once he lost the TNT title. At the All Out pay-per-view last year, he made his final television appearance. He stopped participating in wrestling entirely after that.

The Bulgarian star recently tweeted a photo of himself and his wife CJ Perry. (fka Lana). It was obvious from his caption that he was content with his life.

“Living my best life,” Miro tweeted.

What is going on with Miro?

Since September 2022, Miro hasn’t been spotted in AEW, and there may be some fascinating information as to why. We have now learned overnight that proposals that were put to Miro were rejected, Dave Meltzer made a statement providing us with more details of the absence and what the proposals were.

Dave Meltzer on Miro

Meltzer wrote the following in the most recent Wrestling Observer Newsletter:

“Fightful reported Miro and wife C.J. Perry (Lana) have been in Bulgaria for a month.

“Tony Khan had pitched an idea for him in September for Full Gear. One thing he turned down was losing a Battle Royal where he and Adam Page would have been the last two.

“Khan had said that after the PPV they’d try and get back and obviously his name hasn’t been mentioned since. He has about three years left on his contract.”

Miro Has Gone Home

According to reports, the former AEW TNT Champion traveled to his native Bulgaria along with his wife CJ Perry (previously Lana in the WWE). Miro has apparently been there for more than a month, although he is still bound to AEW.

Miro is currently doing voiceover work

The former TNT Champion is employed as a voice actor. Miro recently added vocal work for an animated short on HBO Max called “Yellowbird” to his acting portfolio, which he revealed on Twitter. He shared a photo of himself clutching the show’s poster. He plays the father in the show, which had its season premiere on March 23.
