Matt Riddle will be out for six weeks, as announced tonight by WWE. This may be kayfabe, or perhaps not. They set it up on RAW with Solo Sikoa destroying Riddle with a chair around his neck. They have played on his neck a lot this year.
The return of Matt Riddle would probably feature around the Royal Rumble, just in time for him to play a huge part in the match. Michael Cole announced on SmackDown that Matt had a major throat injury.
Matt Riddle has had an interesting year in WWE. He saw the end of this tag team, RK Bro due to Orton’s injury. He later challenged Roman Reigns for the world title. Finally, he had an extensive feud with Seth Rollins that led to several incredible matches.
Some might say he’s earned the time off.
