Current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns’ WrestleMania 39 opponent has not been confirmed yet. here are a few names that have come up as part of speculations but WWE is yet to make a decision.
Out of all the possibilities, the most exciting one is the Rock, who is also been in plans to win the Royal Rumble match in 2023. However, the Rock’s participation has not yet been locked due to the Brahma Bull’s Hollywood commitments and busy schedule. Other suggestions include the likes of Cody Rhodes and John Cena.
Now, according to Xero News, there has been a massive update Reigns’ trajectory on the Road to the biggest event of the year, WrestleMania 39. According to the new report, the recent rumors about Reigns losing the WWE title before WrestleMania is not correct.
“Regarding the WWE Championship. I’m told there has not been any discussion to take the title [WWE Championship] from him yet. He is not scheduled to defend just the WWE title at any point in January or February. They haven’t even spoke about “stripping” him of it, as of yet.”
The report also suggests that the Tribal Chief might walk out with both the WWE and the Universal Champion at WrestleMania 39.
“Source states as far as WrestleMania goes, Roman is likely walking out with both [titles]. Believes ‘double duty’ is out the window.”
