Kurt Angle is coming back to WWE, to celebrate his birthday on SmackDown. They just freshly announced it on SmackDown. He will be 54 years old. Angle is a former WWE champion and Impact Wrestling World Champion. He first started with the company in 1999, and within little more than a year, he won all the men’s singles titles in WWE, including the world title itself.

Kurt Angle was a legend who led the way on SmackDown, and then later went to Impact Wrestling. Angle does not get enough credit for basically doubling Impact’s ratings in a single stroke. He is one of the most celebrated and respected legends of his time. With his famous Olympic background, fans considered him more legitimate than most wrestlers, and as a result were huge fans of his.

Kurt Angle won his Olympic Gold Medals in 1996, with a broken freakin neck. He became one of the most recognizable sports stars as a result. ECW tried to bring him in, WCW was interested. But he ultimately landed in WWE.

At nearly 54 years of age, Kurt Angle probably won’t be looking at getting involved in any serious storylines. However, it will be nice to see him around again. Are you excited to see Angle again?
