Konnan recently had some harsh comments for some of the young AEW wrestlers on his Keepin’ It 100 podcast.

Konnan AEW

“When you have guys that are out there and they have this knowledge and you’re not obtaining it, you don’t really give a s***, you’re really cheating yourself because these guys could teach you so many things,”

On AEW Konnan said.

“But if you want to stay dense, these guys [who are listening] are always going to be one step ahead of you.”

He further called them out for ignoring the advice of industry veterans such as William Regal, Bryan Danielson, and Chris Jericho.

“That place would be a lot better if you’re listening to Jericho, if you’re listening to Regal, if you’re listening to Danielson. The work would be tighter, the promos would be better, the writing would be better, but it isn’t. You’ve got a lot of guys that think they know what they’re doing and that’s why they get heavily criticized by us.”

WCW/TNA Konnan noted that he started dialysis

“I just started dialysis today. I can tell you that for the last eight months, and I really usually don’t bring it up to you guys because that’s just the way I am, but the last eight months have been torture for me, mentally and physically. It’s been very, very, very hard to go to work to do this show.

Thank God it’s the only thing I have to do, but even getting on a plane has been torture for me. I feel weak. I feel lethargic. I feel despondent, no energy, irritable, depressed. You name it, bro. I’m just not myself. It’s been really, really hard, and it’s been really hard for me to cope with this.”
