Kenny Omega’s Contract Status in AEW: What We Know So Far
All Elite Wrestling (AEW) star Kenny Omega’s contract status has been a topic of much speculation in recent weeks. During an interview on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that Omega is still working under his old extended contract and has not yet signed a new deal with the promotion.
Meltzer clarified that Omega’s contract was extended due to him being out for nine months due to injuries, and he is currently under contract until around November or December. However, there has been no announcement of a new deal being signed between Omega and AEW, leading many fans to wonder about his future with the company.
Omega is one of AEW’s most high-profile stars and has been a central figure in the promotion since its inception in 2019. He is a former AEW World Champion and has been involved in several high-profile feuds and matches during his time with the company.
Meltzer stated –
“Okay, the stuff with Kenny Omega. Konnan did an interview, and it got people thinking that Kenny Omega had signed a new contract. Kenny Omega is under contract with AEW. His contract was extended because he was out for, I think, nine months due to injuries. I believe that he is under contract until around November or December. There is no new deal that’s been signed,” Meltzer stated.
