On Tuesday, Katherine Tulick of Variety reported that Cena will star in Peter Farrelly’s upcoming movie Ricky Stanicky, and filming for the same will occur in Australia throughout February and March. Of course, this year’s Mania is slated for April 1 and 2, meaning if filming lasts throughout March, the Hollywood star won’t be able to be on Raw or SmackDown to build any match.

Apart from Theory and his repeated teases of a showdown with Cena, there is also Logan Pual, who has stated his desire to face Cena on the biggest show of the year. However, based on what happened at the Royal Rumble and the next night’s Raw, the social media star is set for a collision course with Seth Rollins at Mania, which seemingly also points to Cena not being available for a match with Paul.
WWE and the Leader of the Cenation can still something work out for a last-minute appearance at WrestleMania 39, and if his schedule does permit, the latter should definitely take up that option.
