Jim Cornette gave his take on the return of Vince McMahon. He wasn’t surprised, except in the fact that it took Vince so long to do it. This is what Cornette said on his podcast.
“So I don’t know actually now why it took him this long, but I’ll tell you what, we’re going to analyze what’s going on here, folks. But the motivation comes down to one of two things. Either they have been intending to sell the company this year along with the media rights and he [said] nobody gonna do that except me. Or he has decided now as Vince often does, when he gets an idea in his head that this is the right thing to do, that they’re going to explore sales and the media rights at same time and nobody gonna do that but him.”
Jim Cornette states that no one but Vince will get that check for WWE, “But one way or another, when somebody hands some other motherf*cker, a check for $5 billion. That other motherf*cker receiving it is gonna be Vince McMahon. And I mean, I can’t blame him. If it’s his crop, he planted the seeds, he watered it. He cultivated the soil, he did all this and now by God, he’s gonna walk across hell with gasoline britches on to make sure that nobody gets handed that check but him.”
Jim Cornette worked with Vince very closely in the 1990s. He could be counted on for having a reliable view of what kind of person Vince is, and what he might do. What’s your take on the Vince McMahon situation?
