PWInsider is reporting that Jeff Hardy will have a pre-trial hearing this Wednesday after several postponements.

The hearing is reportedly set for 8:30 AM. There are also depositions scheduled to take place next week.

Hardy was arrested on June 28th of last year on charges of DUI (Alcohol and/or Drugs), third offense within ten years, driving while license canceled/suspended/revoked, and violation of restrictions placed on driver’s license.

The DUI charge is a felony under Florida law, punishable by up to five years in prison. The others are misdemeanors.

The 44-year-old was arrested in Volusia County, Florida in 2022 and quicky suspended by AEW

As stated by the Volusia County Corrections website, the charges are an alleged third drug or alcohol-related DUI offense within 10 years, driving with a suspended, canceled, or revoked license, and violation of restrictions placed on a driver’s license, which stemmed from his previous arrests.

Hardy’s surety cash bond is listed as $3,500, which includes $500 for each license charge, and $2,500 for the DUI.

Jeff Hardy DUI History

On October 3, 2019, professional wrestler Jeff Hardy was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) in Moore County, North Carolina.

According to a report from the Moore County Sheriff’s Office, Hardy was pulled over by a police officer after his car was spotted swerving on the road. The officer reported that Hardy had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath and performed poorly on a field sobriety test. Hardy was then arrested and taken to the Moore County Detention Center, where he was given a breathalyzer test and registered a blood alcohol content (BAC) of .25, more than three times the legal limit.

Following the arrest, Hardy was released on a $1000 bond and was scheduled to appear in court on October 17. He was charged with one count of driving while impaired (DWI) and one count of driving on a sidewalk.

The DUI arrest was not Hardy’s first run-in with the law. In 2009, he was arrested for possession of anabolic steroids and drug paraphernalia, and in 2011 he was arrested for public intoxication.

Hardy’s DUI arrest was met with disappointment and concern from fans and fellow wrestlers alike, with many taking to social media to express their thoughts on the matter. The wrestler himself has not yet publicly commented on the arrest.

Hardy’s DUI arrest raises important issues around the dangers of drinking and driving, and the importance of seeking help if you struggle with substance abuse. It also serves as a reminder of the potential consequences of poor decision making, not only for the individual involved, but also for their loved ones and the wider community.
