On a recent episode of the “In The Kliq” podcast, AEW President Tony Khan was a guest, where he discussed FTR, Cash Wheeler, and Dax Harwood, among other things.

Harwood previously disclosed that the team would be taking a break this year to recharge, recover from injuries, and think through their next moves. Khan was clear to state that he wants the former AEW World Tag Team Champions to rejoin his organization.

“I do hope to see FTR back,” Khan said. “They do need some time to recover from what was one of the most intense years of wrestling any team’s ever done – the schedule they went through, all the different places they worked.”

“So I think, for those guys, we wanna see them back in AEW and wanna see them heal up and come back at 100 percent,” Khan later added. “We’re really looking forward to that, hopefully. I think they’re a great team and would love to have them back.”

The multi-time, multi-promotional tag team champions’ contracts with AEW are due to end around April 2023, therefore it will be a significant year for FTR.

Dax Harwood recently hinted that he and Cash Wheeler might be facing their final full-time stint together and that they are unsure of where they would practice their craft after their AEW/ROH contracts expire.

FTR signed with AEW in 2020 after being granted their release from WWE earlier the same year.
