Following a post-match angle involving Grayson Waller and Shawn Michaels at Vengeance Day, WWE NXT has decided to suspend the performer. The brand announced the same on social media earlier today.
NXT said that Waller’s suspension was due to his actions at Saturday’s post-Vengeance Day media call. The Aussie interrupted WWE senior vice president of talent creative and on-screen authority figure Michaels during his interaction with the press.

Waller was upset that the former world champion had insisted on a pinfall or submission-only stipulation for his steel cage NXT Championship match against Bron Breakker at the show. The heel character talked about the same in a tweet on Monday as well:
Anyone else find it interesting that @ShawnMichaels introduced a stipulation, mere hours before the match, that gave Bron a massive advantage on Saturday?

Waller, the number one contender to Breakker’s NXT title, lost to the champion in a rematch from their New Year’s Evil television special last month. At the latter event, Waller lost by count out after a ring rope came apart.
Interestingly, it was Carmelo Hayes who came out to signal himself as Breakker’s next title challenger in a post-match angle at Vengeance Day. What happens with Waller post his suspension remains to be seen.
