Goldberg is dangerous in the ring, and a former WWE wrestler confirmed as much. It wasn’t Bret Hart either, but I’m sure you’ll find him in agreement. This time it’s Rene Dupree.
Rene Dupree said on the Cafe de Rene podcast, “As far as talent, Goldberg, yeah, because he was so goddamn dangerous in the ring. But he wasn’t there long too. He didn’t even do house shows, man. I think he did like one or two house show loops the whole time he was there. If you can get the deal, go for it. Good for you.”

Rene is just the most recent to tell the story of how the former WCW wrestler was a dangerous worker. On the Steve Austin Broken Skull Podcast in 2020, Bret Hart said, “I always knew what I was doing. I would hurt myself before I ever hurt another wrestler. And I just wish some of the wrestlers I worked with, especially at the end [of my career] like Goldberg. He was one of the most unprofessional wrestlers to ever work in the business. For Bill Goldberg to be in the Hall of Fame… he hurt everybody that he worked with.”
Goldberg does come from a time when finding out who injured who was harder. However, he did kick Bret Hart so hard in the head that Bret would eventually have to retire. More recently in 2019, he faced the Undertaker in a match in Saudi Arabia. Both men received concussions in a match so bad that Vince McMahon ordered it cut short.
