Over the weekend, WWE fans were in for a shock when Shane McMahon made an unexpected return to the wrestling ring. However, things quickly took a turn for the worse when McMahon appeared to land awkwardly on his left knee during an impromptu match against The Miz. McMahon’s injury was later confirmed to be a torn quad, which he sustained early on in the match.
Despite McMahon’s injury, the show had to go on, and WWE Hall of Famer Snoop Dogg, who happened to be in the ring at the time, was forced to step in and save the match. The legendary rapper quickly took matters into his own hands and landed a right hook on The Miz, before following it up with another punch that sent Miz crashing to the mat. Snoop then delivered his own version of The Rock’s famous People’s Elbow, securing his first official WWE win!
Interestingly, footage has since emerged showing the moment when a WWE cameraman (At the other side of the ring) was instructed to tell Snoop Dogg to save the match and punch The Miz. This behind-the-scenes glimpse highlights the level of coordination and planning that goes into putting on a successful wrestling show, even when unexpected events occur.
While McMahon’s injury was undoubtedly a setback for the WWE, it was heartening to see Snoop Dogg step up to the plate and save the match. This unexpected turn of events only adds to the excitement and drama that wrestling fans have come to love about the WWE. As always, it will be interesting to see what surprises and twists the wrestling world has in store next.
