The last of what will go down as an amazing trio of matches is over. FTR vs Mark & Jay Briscoe AKA Dem Boyz happened tonight on Ring of Honor Final Battle. This is the 13th time that these two have been tag team champs. FTR lose, amid speculation that they won’t re-sign with AEW and will leave the promotion.
This is the fourth title to change hands tonight, as every single title seemed to be on the move. With Dem Boyz as champions, does this mean that Tony Khan has finally cut a TV deal that allows him to feature Mark & Jay Briscoe on TV?
FTR may well be on their way out of the company, as rumored. Whether or not they sign with WWE, they seem to be signaling intentions to leave AEW. They commented about how they’d like to work for some non-televised wrestling promotions.
