Daniel Cormier, a member of the UFC Hall of Fame, recently made his first-ever on-screen appearance in WWE.

He officiated the Fight Pit Match between Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle at the Extreme Rules 2022 premium live event as a special guest referee.

Following his performance, there were rumors that Cormier and Brock Lesnar may face off in a WWE event for the UFC Heavyweight Championship in 2018, but that match never materialized.

Now, it looks like DC is planning to make his in-ring debut in Pro-Wrestling, but it might not be for the WWE.

During an appearance on Konnan’s K100 podcast, former UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez noted that him and Cormier have discussed wrestling together in AAA Lucha Libre.

Below is what Cain said:

“Daniel Cormier was actually at my house yesterday, him and Luke Rockhold came over. DC, we talked about doing a match as well — like doing something with me, him, AAA.

For me, man, it’s just good that I get to have like my family involved in it. You know, my kids get to watch it and they love it. They’re big fans of AAA and WWE.

I’m just glad I get to bring my family into the sport that I’m doing now. With fighting, it wasn’t like that. I had to like kind of shelter them throughout that whole thing.”

Cain (who is currently out on bail) has only had 5 pro-wrestling matches so far, with 2 of them being in WWE (one against Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship at Crown Jewel 2019 and the other one was a tag team match at a Live Event).

Would you like to see Daniel Cormier in WWE?
