Claudio Castagnoli has won the Ring of Honor world championship from Chris Jericho at Final Battle. The former champion, Chris, submitted while in the Giant Swing, which to my knowledge may be the first time that move has been submitted to. Claudio becomes a 2 time champion, as Jericho is finally put down.
With Claudio Castagnoli as champion, some believe that Tony Khan may have at last secured the TV deal with Ring of Honor. As a result title can go back to who fans feel is the right champion. This makes Claudio a two time world champion.
Claudio leads the way into a new era of Ring of Honor. He might also be considered defacto leader of Blackpool Combat Club, with Regal’s exit. What of Jericho’s Reign? Did you enjoy it?
