Bully Ray also known as Bubba Ray Dudley was contacted about appearing on RAW XXX. Tonight, RAW will celebrate 30 years on the air. It first debuted in 1993 on the USA Network and featured among other things, The Undertaker vs Damien Demento on the show.
This is what Bully Ray said, “I did get a phone call about it. I did say that if me and D-Von were going to do something that would be able to help another tag team, like maybe go out there and do the ‘Wassup’ spot and ‘Get the tables’ with another tag team, and kind of let them get the rub or the shine off of playing one of the hits. I would have been more than happy to do that, never got a callback and I’m here talking to you guys.”
That certainly would have been interesting. One wonders why they didn’t call back?

According to Internet Movie Database, Bully Ray and D-Von made their first appearances on the RAW back on February 24th, 1997. This was the height of the brief ECW Invasion angle. This was used in conjunction to promote ECW’s first PPV, Barely Legal 1997.
While that might have been the first RAW for Bully Ray, they didn’t have their first RAW match until 1999. Pro Fight database records a Monday Night RAW bout between Bully & D-Von against Matt & Jeff Hardy on September 20th, 1999.
It would have been nice to see the Dudley Boys back on WWE one more time.
