His opponent was Jinder Mahal, former WWE champion, who has not been featured in WWE storylines for a long time. It all started when he issued an open challenge, which Bray Wyatt responded to. After a short match, he hit Sister Abigal and won his first match in well over a year.
This may be seen as a potential tune up match for Bray Wyatt. It could also be featured as a way for WWE to advertise that fans shouldn’t miss out on house shows. You don’t know what you might miss.
It’s worth noting that Bray Wyatt was wearing a knee brace. Perhaps his return without wrestling was to allow him to heal from some unreported injury? After he faces LA knight, what will be next for Wyatt? Will he once again become WWE Champion, or universal champion?
