This also means that he is due a much-deserved Hall of Fame induction, as he has been retired for the best part of four years. For those unaware, Batista was initially supposed to get inducted in 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic ended any such plans, meaning the company held the 2020 and 2021 HoF ceremonies together inside the Thunderdome without any live fans attending.

However, Batista could not participate in the ceremony due to other obligations, so he requested that WWE induct him at a future ceremony as to properly thank fans and those who helped him throughout his career. The former world champion is hoping that this comes to pass in 2023.

Speaking at the premiere of his new movie, Knock at the Cabin, he told ComicBook.com  Batista stated that he hopes to be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year.

“I hope so, but I can’t say for sure. I can say that I’m trying. I am trying.”
