The year 2021 witnessed one of the best intergender matches of all time when Alexa Bliss took on Randy Orton at WWE Fastlane. Surprisingly, it was Bliss who picked up the win after Bray Wyatt interfered to attack the former Evolution member. The match led to WrestleMania 37 where Randy Orton took on The Fiend and successfully got his revenge.
Speaking recently on BT Sport’s What Went Down, Bliss shed light on how it was to work with a legend like Randy Orton. She explained that it is one of her favorite matches and admitted that she had never imagined that she would have the chance to step in the ring against The Viper.
“Never in a million years did I ever think I’d have a match with Randy Orton. Never in a million years. You know what, I have to say this might be one of my favorite matches I’ve ever done. This was cool. This was a super fun match. I feel like this has to be one of my favorites.”
Further in the interview, Alexa Bliss talked about how it felt like to be at the receiving end of an RKO. She said the experience was not fun but was cool.
“But I will tell you, taking an RKO is not fun, but it’s pretty cool to say you’ve taken an RKO”
WWE also featured an intergender match on today’s episode of Monday Night RAW where Rhea Ripley defeated Akira Tozawa with a Riptide.
