AJ Styles may have suffered an ankle injury tonight in Hershey Pennsylvania. Styles was working as part of the WWE Holiday Tour when he suffered his potential injury.
AJ Styles went down outside the ring, and the referee threw up the dreaded X sign that signifies injury. Styles was helped to the back. We don’t know for sure, but there is a video of it here on Twitter.
2022 has seen a rash of injuries for both AEW and WWE. Last March, Big E Langston broke his neck. At WrestleMania, Rick Boogs tore his quad. R-Truth also tore his quad recently on NXT. Cody Rhodes suffered a torn pec. AEW wasn’t immune either, CM Punk got hit with a broken foot and a torn triceps. Adam Cole is out with a concussion with rumors he may never return. And now AJ Styles? It’s been a brutal year.
We certainly hope that AJ Styles isn’t injured too badly. Perhaps it might end up like Kevin Owen’s knee injury. Just miss a couple of weeks.
Well, we all wish him a speedy recovery from whatever potential injury he may have suffered. We’ll be here to report when details come out.
