During WrestleMania weekend, two prominent wrestlers from different companies crossed paths as an AEW star shared a picture with WWE’s Big E. WaleMania, held at The Novo in Los Angeles on March 30, provided a fusion of music and professional wrestling in anticipation of WrestleMania 39.

The event featured performances by Lio Rush and Swerve Strickland, with attendees including AEW’s reigning TNT Champion, Powerhouse Hobbs, and WWE’s Big E, who recently reunited with The New Day to coach the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cinnamojis before their guest appearance at WrestleMania 39 on April 1 and 2.

Powerhouse Hobbs shared a photo of the meeting on his Twitter account and later retained his TNT Championship against Penta El Zero Miedo on the March 25 episode of AEW Rampage. Additionally, Big E provided an update on his health status, revealing that he is scheduled for a one-year check-up in early April.

It was during the March 11, 2022 episode of SmackDown, WWE superstar Big E, whose real name is Ettore Ewen, suffered a serious injury after receiving an overhead belly-to-belly suplex from Ridge Holland outside the ring. Instead of landing on his back, Big E landed on his head and neck, fracturing his C1 and C6 vertebrae.

Despite being sidelined for over a year due to the injury, Big E has maintained a positive attitude and embraced the “power of positivity,” a mantra and rallying cry that he and his fellow New Day stablemates, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, embody both in and out of the ring.
