AEW stars appear on MNF.  It is no secret that pro wrestling stars are fans of sport, and vice versa, and when the two worlds collide, it’s usually newsworthy.

The same can be said of AEW star Penta El Zero Miedo, who was present at an NFL Monday Night Football game and met 49ers tight end George Kittle pre-match in Mexico City.

Monday night’s broadcast of the San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals game saw ESPN air footage of Penta El Zero greeting Pro Bowl tight end George Kittle before the match. The AEW World Trios Champion handed Kittle a custom 49ers lucha mask.

Kittle, who scored two touchdowns on Monday night, returned the favor by wearing a Penta mask and shirt for his post-game press conference. Interestingly, the Madison, Wisconsin, United States is a massive pro wrestling fan, often using Penta’s “Cero Miedo” taunt to celebrate during matches.

Penta, his brother Rey Fenix and PAC are the current AEW Trios Champions. They retained the belts against the returning The Elite (Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks) at Full Gear on Saturday and then again last night on Dynamite. The two teams are fighting a best-of-seven series for the championships, with the next bout coming from Indianapolis on Dynamite next Wednesday.

Adam Cole Plays In The NFL?

AEW star Adam Cole has been away from the ring for over four months at the time of writing. During that time, he may have found his doppelganger in the form of an NFL player.

Cole last wrestled at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view. At the event, he challenged for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship in a match that also included Hangman Page, Kazuchika Okada and Jay White.

But has the former NXT Champion signed for the NFL’s Cincinnati Bengals?   Many people on Twitter thought he had when they caught a glimpse of the wide receiver Trenton Irwin during a recent game.
